Yesterday the Hybrid WAN allowed you to leverage private and broadband connections to

Today a cloud-delivered SD-WAN helps you remove the complexity: the profusion of boxes and convoluted configurations. An SD-WAN allows you to orchestrate business, QoS and security policies, as well as application access, regardless of where the worker or the application is, or what physical devices or networks may connect them at the moment of access. Flexible and location-independent, the SD-WAN steers traffic directly between source and destination — mobile-worker or remote office, to SaaS server — allocating bandwidth and prioritizing traffic to provide the appropriate end-user experience.

Simple and cost-effective, available links and bandwidth are automatically detected, continuously monitored and traffic is steered to optimize throughput, bandwidth allocation, application performance, application availability, and end-user experience.

Cloud-based applications, accessed by Internet-connected user devices, demand security applied flexibly and dynamically to decentralized traffic wherever it may flow, orchestrated from a single point. The SD-WAN encrypts traffic where needed, when needed, with dynamic VPN tunnels, and applies firewalling at the cloud entry-point to the virtual network.

The number of networking devices in the branch is steadily increasingly—many untethered and roaming. Sometimes the entire remote office moves.
